Improving the riding skills of motorcyclists to keep safer on on busy roads. Ultimately taking them to a level where they are fully prepared to pass the I.A.M Advanced Motorcycle Test

Whether you’re new to riding or you’ve been riding for years, travelling on today’s roads is becoming ever more challenging.  All that stands between the motorcyclist and the road surface is his/her protective clothing and their riding skills. Joining ESAM and undertaking 1‐to‐1 observed rides with our IAM qualified Observers will develop your riding skills to IAM Advanced Riding test level and ensure you are better prepared to;

“Ride Better, Ride Safe, Have Fun”

Once you’ve signed up to take your IAM Advanced Riding Test, you become an ‘Associate member’.  All Associates are placed on our waiting list to be allocated to one of our qualified ‘Local Observers’.  Once allocated, the Associate and the Observer communicate directly to organise regular observed rides to practice riding to the ‘System’ and gain the skills required to pass the IAM Advanced Riding test.  When you are ready, you will be put forward for a ‘Pre-Test’ with one of our qualified ‘National Observers’, which is arranged at a time suitable for them, you and your Observer.

“join us on the second Sunday of the month”
club Sunday’s are an opportunity for you to chat with existing members and perhaps go for a free no obligation assessment ride (arrive and ride session) with one of our trained observers on some local roads.

What’s on the Horizon

Join us on our club on the second Sunday of the month – at Reid Hall, Boreham Street on the A271 for a chat, a bacon butty and a taster ride to see how we work. Generally runs from 9.30am until midday.

There are frequent brekkie runs on various Sundays throughout the year and occasionally more adventurous ride outs to various places of interest. See our calendar for some of these events.

As well as our planned club Sundays at Reid Hall and Thursday club nights at the Cross in Hand pub there are various other events throughout the year. Look up the calendar for more info.

We are affiliated to the IAM and use their training system and materials to improve your skills to an advanced level.
